1. Every week one person chooses a picture, which then all the participans has to colour - including the person who chose it.

2. Everybody has exactly one week to do it. If you have troubles with that, it is possible to submit it during next week also, but it shouldn´t be a regular thing.

3. You need to create a journal entry when choosing a picture - and in this entry you should include the list of the participants PLUS these rules!

4. It might be a bit uncomfortable searching the uploaded pics - when you submit your piece to DA, PLEASE send a link to it UNDER THE JOURNAL ENTRY of the person, who chose the original pic. Like this we can keep up and don´t forget anyone.

5. You are free to leave the project anytime you like. At the same time everybody not submiting the picture(s) for three weeks (unless they have a good excuse like broken computer or school exams) will be expelled. People both excluded and those who decided to drop out may come back if they wish - but only at the start of another colouring round (aka when every participant has chosen a picture).

6. Everybody who wants to enter is always welcome.

Now, finally, onto the picture. After some thinking I have chosen a vintage photo of Indian actress Farida Jalal in "Shatranj Ke Khiladi"(1977) [link] . I chose it because it has some very nice details you can work with, at the same time it´s not too over-detailed and it is in a very nice quality too. That is all from me for now, looking forward to seeing your colourings!

For those, who do´t know what the quest is about:
Every week one of the "registered" participants would choose ONE picture and post the link to it into his/her DA journal. There is practically no rule how to choose a pic - it may be just anything that is originally black and white (preferably taken before 1923 or a picture in your posession). Then all the participants would have exactly one week to finish their version and upload it here. When we come to the full circle, when every sigle one of participating colourers chose a picture, we make another round.

Hello my lovelies! I know many of you know this already, but for the rest, here is a disclaimer/request I feel is needed:

My artwork is not meant to be propaganda or a political statement, hence I would appreciate if people wouldn´t post their political views either. Thank you.

Secondly, I plan to be back one my exams are over in about two, three weeks. And by "back" I mean at least one colouring a week. And perhaps.... if anyone would be interested, we could revive the good old colouring quest!

Hello one and all!

I am trying to revive my love for colouring and so far I am successful. I s been a LOOOOONG time since I last logged in.... I really do not enjoy colouring after so man years that much - or rather I colour only from time to time. What is it I am hearing about colourd pics no longer being allowed on DA? Anyone can tell me?

Please do not be offended that I did not reply to your messages and all, but the number was so overwhelming I just deleted everything.

Anyway - I think I might switch to tumblr, if the news about colourizations no longer being allowed.

Hello all my watchers and friends and even you who have stumbled upon my account for the very first time!

Firstly let me apologize. As you may have noticed I have been very much missing from here past month. The truth is I do not have as much time for colouring and it is not my bestest hobby anymore. I still do enjoy it, but I have other things to keep myself occupied too. New pictures are surely to come, but I cannot tell how often or of what theme. I still hope I will not loose your interest or love - because that is what I have been igven over here the most!

Secondly I apologize to all my friends whose work I did not include into my favourites. My long absence on DA led to a complete OVERFLOW of messages and I am ashamed to admit I deleted most of them, because I simply did not have the nerves to go through each of them.

Finally I want to say I am leaving the Colouring quest. In fact I got the feeling most of the people who used to participate have left or lost interest. So anyone is welcome to take over, I do not claim any copyrigh on the idea

So what picture should we do............ I was thinking really hard, I was going through my folders, but in the end I said - I DON´T CARE IF THEY HATE ME and here it goes: [link] Why? Because these days I´m so happy thanks to her! I was through a VERY bad time last week and she kept me sane. The pic comes from 1989 movie Ram Lakhan, where she has a part of innocent Lakhan´s beloved girl Radha.

So our dear evil tagged me some time ago, to write down my TOP 5 music albums ever..... What an impossible task!!!!!! But if you really need to know, here go the ones I love and adore (complete list would be endless, because I love so many kinds of music....)

In NO particular order:

"Night at the Opera" by Queen. I love Queen. My favourite group ever. And this album was a masterpiece. Many might say the best track is Bohemia Rhapsody, but I think I like this one the best [link]

"Tubular Bells 2" by Mike Oldfield. If I was allowed to have only one artist in my comp, I would go with Mike. best album for relaxation and working. Amazing in every situation and playing with all shades of moods. Pure genius. This song always works.... for anything! [link]

"Proměny" (Shape-shiftings)by Čechomor, a group which play traditional folk Czech music but brings it to modern days in a very sensitive and beautiful way. Possibly my most favourite track is very sad "Veliké zvony" (Bells of Velice) [link]

"Ogniem i Mieczem" (With Fire and sword) soundtrack. I LOVE that music! It tells a story of its own. And it stirs blood in my Salvic veins - especially this song [link]

The "sexy" Indian girl" from the description turns out to be a male bastard. And know what he wrote to me? This is what a kind soul who can speak Spanish translated for me:

"He said that we are scandalous, that he didn't understand your comments and he read comments in english.
When he uploaded your video it wasn't edited yet, he said he was going to put the name of your channel on it, but because of your complaint he is not going to put it.

I have promised that I´ll write the entry about my current situation, and I think the time has come...

I´m not going to lenghty explanations about how all that mess at my school went on, the result however is that I had to quit my fourth year of studies and I´m entering the university again as a 1st grader. It suckc, because for four years I was studying a paying money to have nothing in the end and have to study for another 3 years to get a Bachelor degree, but I guess i´s better than a fork in my eye.

My home troubles FINALLY seem to be calming - they were largely due to my impossible elder brother and his wife (who turned out to be rather selfish and ungrateful person). For a year they lived with us but now they are moving away. The only thing that grieves us is that we may not see the Little One too often, but we have to cope with that. Hopefully now that they are gone the relationships will be less strained.

So that´s just about it... the two main things that were making me miserable are done with for now....

I have been planning a decent journal entry to let you know how was my summer and all, but you´ll have to wait a little more for it (as if you were interested, right?). Meanwhile I have been tagged by dear ......

6. Spáso duše mé - [link] - Like Into the West, this is one song I absolutely cannot live without. It is from a musical Jeanne d´Arc, and it is sung by her "soul" at the very end.

7. Innuendo - [link] - finally. The ultimate song. No words to describe it. You have to live it.

My dears,

I have a suggestion to all those who are involved in our Clouring quest. What if we take a breather through the summer and return to our project in September (picking up where we left - meaning Siham)? The reasons:

1.) I don´t know about you, but during July I´ll only be on computer one day a week and God knows if in August I´ll get online at all!!!
2.) Some of you are grounded, some of you tired, some have broken computer........ and in the end hardly half of the participants actually do the picture...
3.) During the summer you would have plenty of time catching up on the pictures you´ve not done yet, so we could complete everything.

So what do you think? If you want to continue through summer, I´ll step out of the quest for two months..... and somebody else will have to be the overseer.

Do YOU know any song (doesn´t matter if instrumental or with lyrics, if slow or energetic), that would evoke in you an image of a REALLY beautiful woman?????

The thing is I WANT to do another Madhuri video, this time concetrating on her facial expressions more then dancing, and I have NO appropriate song!!!! I cannot promise you I´ll use the one you would choose, but I´ll be greatful for ANY suggestion.....

What is wrong with this? Oh yes - Jennifer was supposed to choose the next picture, unfortunatelly it seems she either forgot or doesn´t have time, maybe some computer problems? Anyway, I´m going to have to eliminate her from the project once again, because she did not manage to upload four pictures already and didn´t let me know what the problem is. Please, do not be mad at me Jennifer, I´m sure oyu have your resons, but we need to follow the rules
